Class on Family Visit

Under the leadership of the Faith Formation Department, the Udaya Province organized a one-day seminar and workshop on Family Apostolate on 24th July 2025, held at the Udaya Provincial House. The resource person for the day was Rev. Dr. Fr. Agustin Kallely, from the Archdiocese of Ernakulam–Angamaly. The session commenced at 9:30 a.m. with a warm welcome address delivered by the Provincial Superior, Mother Dhanya CMC. The central focus of the seminar was the pastoral practice of family visits.

Rev. Dr. Fr. Agustin Kallely introduced an innovative approach to family visits titled the “Samaritan House Visit”. Prior to the tea break, he elaborated with clarity and depth on the spiritual significance of family visits, particularly highlighting their role in the salvation of souls. He also addressed emerging challenges within contemporary family life and emphasized the need for structured and accountable pastoral engagement. The session included comprehensive guidelines and insights for conducting effective house visits, followed by interactive mock sessions that allowed participants to apply the strategies discussed. The workshop was especially appreciated for its practical orientation and participant feedback. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by  Sr. Saveena CMC, and the day came to a close with refreshments.
