15 houses were built for the homeless at Kannikara by CMC, Udaya Province. As the fulfillment of Chavararam project that was launched, on the blessed remembrance of 150th anniversary of St.Kuraokose Elias Chavara’s entrance to heaven- the founder of CMC. The Projects comprises as such each family gets 5 cent of land and a house. Bishop of Irinjalakuda diocese Mar Pauly Knaookadan officiated the blessing of the houses and handed over the keys. Mon. Lazar Kuttikadan, Vicar General of the Diocese unveiled  memorial plaque. KR Jojo Aloor Grama Panchayath President , Rev. Dr.Antu Alappadan, Associate Director of St. James hospital Chalakudy etc. facilitated Provincial Superior Sr.Dr.Vimala welcomed the gathering and Social Service Councillor Sr.Lisy Paul thanked all.
